PICKING up from where he led off last year as the River State Conference (RSC) Male Athlete Of The Year, Joshua Turnquest heads into his senior year at Asbury University with high expectations.

Turnquest, who held the ITA All American Honours title and was ranked No. 16 nationally in college tennis for 2019, got off to a great start last week.

He led Asbury University Eagles’ men’s tennis team to a 6-3 win-loss record at the RSC Individual Tournament.

As the top seed in singles, 6-foot, 2-inch Turnquest won his flight draw with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Brescia and a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Midway. In doubles, Turnquest teamed up with Felipe Penula as they won the Green Draw.

The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association congratulates Turnquest on his season opening wins.

And the BLTA wishes him and the Eagles a successful 2019/2020 tennis season.
