A 28-year-old man yesterday denied allegations of assaulting his girlfriend with a deadly weapon earlier this month.
Deangelo Johnson appeared before Magistrate Sandradee Gardiner charged with threatening Kenresse Leadon with harm, assaulting her with a firearm and one other count of assault.
It is alleged sometime between March 15 and April 4, Johnson unlawfully assaulted Ms Leadon with a firearm.
It is also alleged he threatened her with harm on April 7 and assaulted her that same day. Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charges and the matter was adjourned to June 17 at 10am.
Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services (BCDS) in the interim. He has the right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
