A TEENAGER was remanded to prison over allegations he was found with an unlicenced firearm and quantity of illegal ammunition last week.
Laron Frazier, 19, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes after police said they found him with a black .40 pistol and 28 unfired rounds of .40 ammunition on November 26.
The prosecution argued Fraser planned to sell the ammunition and also accused him of having marijuana in his possession.
During the hearing, the accused denied the allegations and the matter was adjourned to March 9, 2021 for trial.
In the meantime, Frazier was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
He has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
