A MAN and a teenager were remanded to prison over allegations that they robbed three people last week.
Devon Laing, 25, and Axison Ormellus, 19, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney after they were accused of using a handgun to rob Sharon Bethel of $178.74 on December 15.
The prosecution alleged the accused also robbed Evelyn Glass of her $249 Alcatel cell phone and said the men stole a $150 Samsung device from another woman that same day.
Yesterday, Ormellus was also accused of dishonestly receiving a roll of quarters worth $10 and a $150 cellphone from Tanykah Bonaparte on the day in question.
During the hearing, Laing and Ormellus were not required to enter pleas to the charges and the case was adjourned to February 26 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.
In the meantime, both males were denied bail and remanded to prison.
They have a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
