A 31-year-old man, accused of defrauding three people of nearly $40,000, was yesterday granted bail before his trial.
The prosecution said Andre Moncur unlawfully obtained $12,000 from Derrick Sands on July 21.
They further alleged that the accused illegally obtained another $12,000 from Lavancia Palmer on March 12 and defrauded another woman of $15,000 sometime between November 25 and December 6.
During his hearing before Magistrate Samuel McKinney yesterday, Moncur pleaded not guilty to three counts of fraud by false pretences.
As a result, the case was adjourned to January 26 for trial.
In the interim, Moncur was granted $8,500 bail.
