A 39-year-old Freeport man was charged with stealing by reason of employment among other charges in connection with a false armed robbery complaint.

Prince Jennings, of Pinehurst Drive, South Bahamia, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Court One, where he was charged with stealing by reason of employment, acquisition of proceeds of criminal conduct, and making a false report.

The accused is alleged to have made a complaint to the Eight Mile Rock Police Station, alleging that he had been held up at gunpoint and robbed of cash belonging to a business establishment by unknown males.

Jennings pleaded not guilty to all charges and was granted $700 bail each on counts one and two and was granted $500 bail on count three.

The case was adjourned to February 10, 2021.
