A 26-year-old man had his attempted murder charge upgraded to murder yesterday. Farron Palmer appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney charged with the death of Jaron Thompson on March 28.
Palmer was initially charged with attempted murder in April; however, the charge was upgraded to murder after the victim died.
During the hearing, Palmer was not required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to August 11 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
Bail was denied and he was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until trial.
