A 27-year-old was remanded to prison yesterday accused of stealing a woman’s iPhone and robbing another woman of more than $200 in cash.
Alcott Fox appeared before Senior Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans accused of stealing a woman’s $1,149 iPhone on November 11. Fox was further accused of robbing another woman of $220 cash on September 28. The prosecution said the accused committed both acts in the parking lot of AG Electronics.
During the hearing, the accused denied both allegations and the case was adjourned to February 24 next year for trial.
In the meantime, he was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
He has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
