A 27-year-old man was charged in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday with attempted murder.
Basil Sears appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes after he was accused of attempting to kill Colvino Flowers on March 11.
During the hearing, Sears was not required to enter a plea and the case was adjourned to December 2 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
In the meantime, the accused was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
He has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
