A 27-year-old man was yesterday charged in connection with an attempted armed robbery that left a store employee wounded in August.
Carlos Pierre appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes after he was accused of trying to rob Royal Hamilton with a handgun on August 14.
According to initial police reports, the incident took place shortly after 2pm at a business on the access road south of Carmichael Road.
Pierre was not required to enter a plea and the case was adjourned to December 7 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
The accused was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
He has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
