A WOMAN and a teen were charged with armed robbery in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Police alleged Anishka Bonaby, 27, and a 17-year-old male used a handgun to rob a man of a $1,200 TechnoMarine watch, a $350 gold ring and $700 cash on April 17.
During their hearing before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes, neither accused was required to enter a plea and the matter was adjourned to June 11 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
In the meantime, Bonaby was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services. The teenager was sent to the juvenile section of the prison.
They both have a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
