A WOMAN is in hospital after she was stabbed during an argument with another woman in a parking lot on Saturday.

The incident took place on West Bay Street after 11pm.

Officers were told that two women were in the parking lot of a business when they started to argue. This resulted in one of the women being stabbed several times in her back.

“The victim was transported to the hospital where she is listed in serious condition. The suspect in this incident is being sought by the police. Investigations into this matter continue,” police said.

Hours earlier, a man was shot while sitting on a porch. Police were called to the scene of the shooting on Flamingo Avenue off Farrington Road after 7pm. On their arrival, the officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was taken to hospital, however, his condition is not known at this time, police said. “Initial inquiries revealed that three men were sitting on a porch, when an unknown male approached them from a western direction and opened fire on them, injuring the victim before fleeing the scene. Investigations into this matter continue,” police said.
