A 40-year-old man was remanded to prison accused of indecently assaulting a woman earlier this month.
Joe Stubbs appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney after he was accused of committing the act against a 30-year-old woman on February 11.
The prosecution alleged that the accused also harmed the victim that same day.
Yesterday, Stubbs was not required to enter a plea and his case was adjourned to April 23 for service of a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI).
Due to the nature of the first charge, he was denied bail and remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until that time.
Stubbs has a right to apply to the Supreme Court for bail.
