THE country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 176 after a 94-year-old woman died from the disease in late January.
According to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 report dated January 28, the New Providence woman died on January 27.
Officials also reported seven new cases on Thursday and nine on Friday, mostly from the nation’s capital.
Of the cases confirmed on Thursday, five were in New Providence while there was one each in Andros and Grand Bahama. Of Friday’s cases, seven were in New Providence while two were on Grand Bahama.
There were 8,183 total confirmed cases up to press time
