TWO teens, one of which is a minor, were taken to court yesterday to face charges in connection with the rape and armed robbery of a 47-year-old woman.
William Dean, 18, along with a 16-year-old boy, appeared yesterday before Magistrate Samuel McKinney.
One of the accused teens wore a neck brace and a cast on his arm in court yesterday.
It was claimed that on June 16, Dean and the minor, being concerned with another, had sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent. It was alleged that they, armed with a handgun, also robbed her of a blue Samsung A21S phone valued at $250.
According to court documents, the two were accused of the armed robbery of Nathaniel Butterfield. The pair will return to court on August 9.
Dean also faced charges for the May 24 armed robbery of Kwaski Wilson. The 18-year-old was accused of robbing Mr Wilson of his blue 2009 vehicle while concerned with others and armed with a handgun.
Meanwhile, another 18-year-old, Stephon Rolle and Dean were also accused of other offences. According to court documents, on June 15, while concerned together and with others, and armed with a handgun they robbed Kennett Beneby of his brown leather wallet which contained $15 cash and his black Samsung A-10 cell phone valued at $150.
They are also accused of robbing Anthony Thompson of his brown leather wallet that contained $10 cash and his Black ZTE cell phone valued at $100 on the same day.
Rolle will be back in court on August 13.
He is accused of robbing Hubert Bowe of $14 on June 15 while concerned with others and armed with a handgun. He is also accused of robbing Sitenie Green of his 2013 Buick Lacrosse and $700 cash while being concerned with others that same day.
