A GRAND Bahama man is in hospital after he was stabbed early yesterday.

Police said shortly before 1am they received a report of a man being stabbed in the Coral Gardens area. Officers responded to the scene and found an adult male suffering from stab wounds about the body.

Initial enquiries revealed the man was approached by another man known to him while at a residence. A physical altercation took place, resulting in the victim receiving multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital by EMS, where he is listed in serious, but stable condition. A 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with this incident.

An investigation is ongoing.
