Fraud accused granted bail

A 26-YEAR-OLD man, who denied defrauding three people of thousands of dollars, was yesterday granted bail ahead of his trial.

Stephen Major Jr, appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis charged with three counts of stealing by reason of service after he was accused of stealing from three people $16,000 of which he had custody by reason of his service.

During the hearing, he pleaded not guilty to all of the counts and his case was adjourned to June 1 and 2 for trial.

In the interim he was granted $8,500 bail.
