SEVERAL Bahamian baseball players have been active in high school baseball playoffs tournaments in the state of Florida.

Deshaughn Forbes and his Trinity Christian Warriors, out of Lake Worth, Florida, have advanced to the Regional title game and will face the Miami Christian Victors at 7pm on May 15.

The Warriors began the playoffs with an 8-4 win over No.7 ranked Seacrest Country Day in the Regional Quarterfinals. Forbes finished 2-3 and scored two runs.

The Jupiter Christian Eagles were forced to forfeit Wednesday’s Semifinal matchup and the Florida High School Athletic Association declared the Warriors the winners.

The Warriors concluded the regular season 16-7-2 and finished as runners-up to the Eagles in the District 2A-14 title game.

Forbes scored two runs.He was named an All-District (2A-14) by High School Baseball Network Florida.

The junior outfielder is hitting .311 with 10 RBI, eight stolen bases, and four triples.

Laheim Bell and his Vero Beach Indians were eliminated in the Regional Quarterfinal the following week.
