A 51-year-old who was accused of seriously injuring another man was granted $8,000 bail ahead of his trial.
Emmanuel Jerome appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle Davis after he was accused of causing grievous harm to Charlemagne Paul on May 13.
During his arraignment, he pleaded not guilty, and the case was adjourned to September 13 and 14 for trial.
In the meantime, Jerome was granted $8,000 bail. He was also warned not to interfere with any of the witnesses involved in the matter.
Magistrate Rolle Davis said if he did, his bail would be revoked, and he would be remanded into custody until the start of his trial.
