TWO young men were charged in the Freeport Magistrate’s court yesterday with murder and attempted murder.
Larry Arilius, 24, and Dillon Williams, 26, both of Freeport, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Debbye Ferguson. Neither man was represented by counsel.
Arilius was charged with murder. It is alleged that on September 17, at Freeport, the accused, concerned with others, caused the death of Antonio Morley by means of unlawful harm.
He was also charged with attempted murder. It is alleged that on the same date and place, the accused, concerned with others, attempted to cause the death of Eunique Moxey. He was not required to enter a plea to the charges.
Arilius and Williams were charged together with three counts of attempted murder. It is alleged that on September 17, at Freeport, the accused men, being concerned together, attempted to cause the death of Alfred Harris, Jr, Acario Morley, and Vereance Reckley.
They were not required to enter pleas to the charges. A preliminary inquiry will be held into the charges to determine if there is sufficient evidence for the men to be committed to the Supreme Court for trial. The cases were adjourned to January 26, 2022.
