Dear Humane Society:
I am writing on behalf of the dog on the street named Kietta to formally complain about the terrible conditions she is in, the way she is being treated, and my concerns. As a former owner, this is really unsettling.
Round the time of early August of last year, 2021, was the time I met Kietta; that was the time she escaped the shelter.
So I took her back, but it seemed as if the workers there were trying to get rid of her or didn’t want her. So in a way, my brother and I were peer-pressured to adopt her, however my dad denied the adoption because he never obliged the decision to have her as a pet.
Ever since then, I constantly see her on the streets eating garbage and animal faeces. I also noticed that she is injured on her thigh and right eye. I went to the Humane Society recently to inform them on how she’s been on the streets, yet it seemed as if they know that, but do not care; they notified me that they feed her and not to worry about her. This isn’t all, she also constantly comes into my yard and digs a lot of holes as well as bringing in garbage from who knows where, into my yard. This upsets me and my family massively.
I would be grateful if you can kindly take Kietta back and make sure she is safe and healthy. Kietta is an extremely kind dog who deserves love as well as a nice home like every other dog you all have at your shelters. It really saddens me to see her in this horrible condition. I know she keeps escaping, so just have a special cage for her; Your shelter has many dogs, so I don’t see why she’s the only one making such a fuss. I look forward to seeing improvements and Kietta off the streets by the end of Easter break of April 19th or soon as possible, so I and my family don’t have to resort to any further measurements, moreover, to have a peace of mind.
I respect the Humane Society, what it is doing and hope to see more developments in the future. I thank you for your time.
