A MAN accused of stealing a woman’s car was granted bail yesterday.
Gibson Gratia, 18, appeared before Magistrate Kendra Kelly on charges of stealing and receiving.
On June 2 in New Providence, Gratia is accused of stealing Latiqua Cash’s $2,700 grey 2010 Nissan Cube.
When asked where he would want his trial to be heard, Gratia elected the Magistrate’s Court. The accused then pleaded not guilty to both charges.
As there was no objection, $3,000 bail with one or two sureties, was granted to Gratia. Under the conditions of his bail, he is to sign in at Carmichael Police Station every Wednesday by 6pm.
Magistrate Kelly further warned Gratia that he is not to have contact with any of the witnesses in this matter, as failure to do so will result in his bail being revoked.
Gratia’s trial will start on August 22.
