A MAN was sent to prison by a Magistrate’s Court yesterday for attempting to kill a woman.
Tario Rahming, 19, faced Magistrate Kendra Kelly charged with attempted murder.
On June 29 in New Providence, Rahming is alleged to have attempted to kill Lisa Louis.
The accused was not required to enter a plea in court and was informed that his case would proceed by way of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI).
The accused was further told that his case would be heard in the Supreme Court, where he can apply for bail after being denied it in court that day. Until he is granted bail Rahming will be remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services.
The accused is expected to return to court for service of his VBI on September 30.
