A MAN was ordered to attend six months of drug counselling yesterday as part of a conditional discharge.

Emerson Johnson, 25, appeared before Magistrate Shaka Serville on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs.

On May 29 in New Providence Johnson was arrested after being found with 1 gram of Indian Hemp.

In court he pleaded guilty to the charge.

In view of the relatively small quantity of drugs, Magistrate Serville granted him a conditional discharge.

As such Johnson is expected to attend drug counselling at CCAC for six months. Should the accused default on the conditions of his discharge he will face a $250 fine.

Johnson is expected to return to court on December 2 for review of his counselling.
