FOUR teenagers were granted bail in Magistrate’s Court yesterday after they were accused of attacking and stabbing another teenage boy.

The boys, who are between the ages of 15 and 17, appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney in the presence of their parents or guardians. There they faced a shared charge of causing harm.

They are accused of attacking a 16-year-old boy at a shop on September 1.

It was during this argument they are said to have pulled out a knife and stabbed the complainant about the body, including his head.

In court, only one 16-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge. The remaining three denied the allegations against them.

As there was no objection to bail by prosecutor Inspector Timothy Bain it was granted to the accused boys at $1,500 each with one surety. Under the conditions of their bail a 7pm curfew was imposed on them. If they breach their bail conditions, they face remand at Simpson Penn Centre for Boys. Their trial is set for sentencing and continuation on October 12 before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux.
