A MAN was sent to Sandilands yesterday after he allegedly stabbed another man near his eyes outside Super Wash on Nassau Street earlier this week.

Magistrate Shaka Serville charged Quentin Johnson, 27, with grievous harm and vagrancy.

Johnson, while outside Super Wash on Nassau Street, allegedly stabbed Charles Gibson with a blade on the side of his right eye on November 27.

While Johnson initially pleaded guilty to the charges, his mother indicated to the magistrate that the accused was a patient at the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre.

Magistrate Serville then sent the accused to Sandilands for a psychological evaluation to see if he was fit to enter a plea.

Johnson must return to court for a report on December 11.
