A 40-year-old father was granted $5,000 bail after he was accused of abusing his 16-year-old daughter earlier this month.
The father, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of the complainant, is accused of physically abusing his teenage daughter causing her unnecessary suffering and injury to her health.
The alleged incident took place on February 9 at Calvin Street.
The accused pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux yesterday.
Bail was then granted to the accused at $5,000 with two sureties. The trial is set to begin on April 20.
He is represented by attorney Kelsey Munroe.
