RELOADED Baseball has announced a relationship with a sporting academy in the Dominican Republic as the organisation furthers its mandate of providing developmental initiatives to get the country's youth to the next level.
"We are excited to announce a relationship with CPD Baseball Academy in the Dominican Republic. Justin, Jeremiah and Josiah Filterman have embarked on this journey with the full support of Reloaded baseball," the press release read.
"Edward Cruz, the head trainer and founder of CPD Baseball Academy, was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He later attended Western Oklahoma State and was selected by the Miami Marlins in the 34th round of the 2013 draft. After an injury derailed his career, Cruz decided to return home to rehab and reevaluate his future.
"It was during this time that Cruz Player Development was founded, dedicated to honing the skills of young baseball players from around the world to achieve their dreams of playing baseball professionally."
The press release continued: "CPD has been able to facilitate young athletes signing to play at Collegiate, Major League, and International levels. Justin, Jeremiah, and Josiah have started their intense training in the Dominican Republic as a collaborative effort and this is the start of many more international developmental initiatives for our Reloaded kids."
The press release added: "The Filtermans have Reloaded's full support along this baseball journey and we have a few more strategic announcements forthcoming for Reloaded. We stand by our Motta that good is never enough as we are developing tomorrrow's leaders and we will not be deterred in our pursuit of development for our Reloaded kids."
