A 17-year-old boy was granted $7,000 bail after he was accused of having a gun in New Providence last week.
Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr, charged the teenage defendant, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, with possession of a prohibited weapon and possession of ammunition.
The defendant was arraigned in the presence of his guardian.
The defendant was allegedly found with a black 9mm Austria Glock pistol and 15 rounds of 9mm ammunition on April 15.
After pleading not guilty to the charges, the defendant was told that he must obey an 8pm to 9am residential curfew.
The trial in this matter begins on June 12.
