A MAN was fined in court after he admitted to having a quantity of dangerous drugs and ammunition in his possession earlier this month.
Magistrate Lennox Coleby arraigned Romell Charite on possession of dangerous drugs and possession of ammunition.
The defendant was reportedly found with a quantity of firearm ammunition and marijuana in New Providence sometime earlier in December.
The defendant pleaded guilty to both charges and expressed remorse for his actions.
Magistrate Coleby granted the defendant a conditional discharge for the drug offense and placed him on a 12 month probation period. Defaulting in these conditions would carry a one year prison term.
Charite was ordered to pay a fine of $3,000 for the ammunition or risk a two year prison term.
The defendant returns to court for report next year.
