A 16-year-old boy was granted bail yesterday after being accused of assaulting a man with a knife in New Providence last month.
Senior Magistrate Shaka Serville charged the teenager, whose name is being withheld because he is a minor, with assault with a dangerous instrument.
The juvenile’s father was present for his arraignment.
The defendant allegedly assaulted another man with a knife at around 3pm on April 2.
Prosecutor Inspector Cordero Farrington did not object to the continuation of the defendant’s police bail.
The defendant will return to court on May 15 for a trial date fixture before Magistrate Algernon Allen, Jr.
