A 42-year-old man was remanded to prison after being accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl last month in New Providence.
Dario Simpson appeared before Senior Magistrate Anishka Isaacs, charged with unlawful sexual intercourse and indecent assault.
Simpson allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with the minor sometime between 1 and 31 August. He is also accused of inappropriate physical contact with the same girl between March 1 and 31.
The case will proceed to the Supreme Court through a voluntary bill of indictment (VBI). Simpson will remain in custody at the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until the VBI is served on January 16, 2025.
