A 14-year-old boy was granted bail yesterday after he was accused of breaking into a man’s house and stealing $3,000.
Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr arraigned the teenage defendant, whose name is being withheld due to him being a minor, on housebreaking and stealing.
The defendant was arraigned in the presence of his stepfather.
The defendant and an accomplice allegedly broke into the residence of Charles Clarke in New Providence and stole $3,000 on August 17.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge, and his bail was set at $4,500 with one or two sureties.
The defendant must obey a 4.30pm to 7am daily residential curfew.
The accused’s trial begins on December 5.
