A MAN was granted bail yesterday after being accused of attempting to break into a home in Hope Town last month.

Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans arraigned 37-year-old Keno Knowles on charges of attempted housebreaking and trespassing.

Prosecutors allege that Knowles attempted to break into the home of Thomas King and trespassed on his property on March 20.

Knowles pleaded not guilty to both charges. His bail was set at $5,000 with one or two sureties. As part of his bail conditions, Knowles must sign in at the Hope Town Police Station every Saturday by 6pm.

His trial is set to begin on April 7.

Assistant Superintendent of Police S Coakley served as the prosecutor.
