POLICE are investigating an industrial accident that left a 26-year-old man critically injured early Friday morning in the downtown area off Bay Street.
According to initial reports, the man allegedly injured himself while operating a heavy-duty machine sometime after 2am. Officers were alerted to the incident around 7.40am.
The victim sustained severe head injuries and was transported to hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Investigations are ongoing.
