A COLOMBIAN woman was ordered to compensate an immigration officer and a Baha Mar security officer whom she reportedly bit while they attempted to detain her at the resort last week.
Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr arraigned 30-year-old Daniela Torres on two counts of causing harm.
Torres allegedly refused to show immigration officer Ashti Greenslade her passport when requested at the resort on February 22. While resisting arrest, she bit Ms Campbell on the ankle. When security officer Paula Adderley-Williams intervened, Torres bit her on the left breast.
With the assistance of a Spanish translator, Torres pleaded guilty to the charges.
She was ordered to compensate Ms Campbell $1,000 or face six months in prison. She was also ordered to pay Mrs Williams $500 or risk three months in prison.
After making the payments in court, Torres was granted an absolute discharge.
She was then handed over to an immigration official.
Keevon Maynard represented the accused.

Did the Editor go on vacation? If the Immigration Officer's name is Ashti Greenslade, who is Ms. Campbell?
