A MAN was fined $6,000 after admitting to having ammunition and a gun magazine at his residence on Asphalt Drive last weekend.
Magistrate Lennox Coleby arraigned Deon Ferguson, 27, yesterday on possession of a part of a firearm and two counts of possession of ammunition.
During a search of his residence, police found a round of .233mm ammo and a 9mm round in Ferguson’s bedroom on January 25.
Officers reportedly found a black Ruger magazine on the roof of Ferguson’s bedroom.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges and accepted responsibility for his actions.
Ferguson was ordered to pay a fine of $6,000 or risk a two-year prison term.
Levan Johnson represented the accused.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Lincoln McKenzie served as the prosecutor.
