A WOMAN was remanded to Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre for psychological evaluation after being accused of breaking into a home on Toote Shop Corner last week.

Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans arraigned 24-year-old Shamia Almonor on charges of housebreaking and damage.

Prosecutors allege Almonor broke into a woman’s home around noon on March 5 and caused $68.61 in damage to bath blinds, mats, and curtains.

Almonor did not enter a plea after displaying abnormal behaviour in court.

She was remanded to Sandilands for evaluation and is expected to return to court on May 14 for a report on her mental competency.
