Friday 9AM: Firefighters have been working throughout the night to extinguish the fast-moving forest fire that pushed thick smoke into the Coral Harbour area yesterday.
Superintendent Demeris Armbrister, chief fire officer, said the fire was still smoldering this morning.
"It's not extinguished at this point, but there's still some spots that smoldering. But however, it's burning deep in land." She added: "There still is some smoke in the area, but throughout the day, we'll work to try and contain and have it extinguished."
4.20pm: The blaze is just east of Family Life Kingdom Centre on Carmichael Road with smoke billowing across the road toward several homes.
