A MAN awaiting trial for the 2021 murder of 10-year-old Kenron Dean was fined yesterday for breaching his bail for 80 days.

Leon Evans, 27, who is on Supreme Court bail for murder, failed to sign in at his local police station for 80 days between December 1, 2025 and June 3.

Evans is accused of fatally shooting Kenron Dean on Finlayson Street and Bola Avenue on March 11, 2021.

Three other males were also shot and injured during the incident.

Evans pleaded guilty to violating his bail conditions before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.

The defendant pleaded guilty to a previous bail violation charge last August.

He was ordered to pay a $4,000 fine or risk six months in prison.

Inspector Cordero Farrington prosecuted the case.
