A MAN accused of a knife assault was granted bail yesterday.
Prosecutors allege Shaquille Jerad Woodside, 32, threatened to harm Valentino Gittens and assaulted him with a knife during a verbal altercation on January 22 on John Close.
Woodside pleaded not guilty to charges of threats of harm and assault with a dangerous weapon before Deputy Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.
Inspector Cordero Farrington, the prosecutor, raised no objection to bail.
Woodside’s bail was set at $1,500 with one or two sureties. Under the terms, he must sign in at the Quakoo Street Police Station every Tuesday and Saturday by 7pm.
He returns for trial on September 11.
