The concept of gratitude
Gratitude is a theme which is prevalent throughout holy scripture. In general terms, gratitude relates to thankfulness and involves a willingness to show an appreciation for something and to return kindness. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV): “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Gratitude is considered a virtue and persons who demonstrate a sense of gratitude are usually more at peace and generally do well.

A blessed season
My brothers and sisters, We are blessed to be able to experience another Christmas season. As we go about busying ourselves, celebrating and preparing for Christmas Day, we should remember that this is the time set aside to commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. His birth and the ultimate sacrifice that he made for us should be foremost in our minds.
Being the gift – I’m still an exceptional gift!
One of the things I love about our focus on the Christmas story is that you can apply it to so many areas of your life. When it comes to seeing yourself as a gift, and although school is out for the holidays, here are two lessons to study:

Are they memorabilia that has been personally autographed just for you? Are they things like photo albums and scrapbooks filled with family memories?
