Baptised at sea
Rev Stephen Smith and the Ebenezer church family rejoiced for the six young people who were recently baptised.
Crushing – a pearl of great price
Somehow reading TD Jakes’ “Crushing” has me waxing retrospective. No small feat, I’ve taken a mental step back into times I’d prefer to forget. My assignment – rehash the pain of each experience, and intentionally try to see the good in it all. My final ideals, simple and universal:
Bringing The Bahamas Back To God
BRINGING The Bahamas ‘Back To God Global Prayer, Prophecy Deliverance and Revival - spearheaded by Mattie Nottage Ministries - was much more than a themed conference, it was a “life-changing” experience for many.
That First Christmas Night
UNDER THE theme “That First Christmas Night,” the ladies ministry of the Mt Moriah Baptist Church, Farrington Road, will host its fifth annual candlelight service this coming Sunday.
Jewels still shining seven years on

Meditation – Remembering to say thanks
During the last months of the year, there are a number of occasions when we intentionally remember to say “thank you.” For example:
‘Finish off the year strong in faith’
WITH only four weeks left before a new year starts, the leadership of Calvary Deliverance is hoping to motivate believers to end 2019 on a strong note.
Meditation: A heart of thanksgiving
While our neighbours to the north celebrate Thanksgiving, we continue to have harvest thoughts as well, so that it all speaks to us of being grateful.
BFM explores strategies to reach the youth
Bahamas Faith Ministries (BFM) is exploring different avenues to improve the relationship between the church as an institution and the country’s youth, and looking at ways of teaching religion leaders how to bring the younger generation back into the fold.
Crushing – God’s method of quality control
Before we get into our sharing today, I want us to begin with a verse of scripture.
Where are the ungrateful lepers?
God has been so good to all of us here in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, and has blessed us with so much. We are an independent nation whose dollar is pegged to the US dollar on a one-to-one basis, and with a robust, salient economy that is the unequivocal envy of the Caribbean; living in a democratic country that holds an election every fives that always go smoothly. Not worrying about anarchy and mutiny from dissidents.
Looking back on a ‘great year’ for Baptist men
In commemoration of his first year in office as the director of the Men’s Department of the Bahamas National Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention, Rev Stephen Ferguson and his team hosted a successful ‘Men’s Week of Service’ to round out a year of special events.
God is faithful
The depth of our love for God is often connected to our personal experiences in time of challenge, adversity, trials and tribulations.
