Funeral Service for MR. MELVIN JONATHAN “JON” GOUTHRO, 41, of Freeport, Grand Bahama who passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Broward General Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, East Sunrise Highway, Freeport, Grand Bahama. Officiating will be Rev. Father Remy David assisted by Deacon Nixon Lindor. He will be laid to rest beside his mother, Mary Jane, at Grand Bahama Memorial Park #2, Frobisher Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama.
He is survived by his father Ambrose Gouthro (and his wife Debra) his brothers, Christopher (and his wife Vivienne) and Marcus and sisters Leslie and Margaret Lauren, nieces Isabella and Cristina Gouthro; aunts Margaret Cartier of Wilmette, Illinois, Joan Cartier (and husband Robert Thompson) of Rockville, Maryland and Joanne Gouthro of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada; uncles Earl Gouthro (and his wife Cheryl) of Waterloo, Ontario, Jerry Gouthro (and his wife Rosanne), Darrell Gouthro (and his wife Rosanne) all of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and many other family members and friends throughout The Bahamas, Canada and the U.S.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Jon’s memory may be made to the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunrise or the Bahamas National Trust.
