Funeral service for Idena Rolle, 91 yrs., a resident of #42 Podoleo Street & formerly of Old Bight, Cat Island will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Montrose Avenue, on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Officiating will be The Venerable Archdeacon G. Kingsley Knowles, assisted by The Rev'd Fr. Andrew Toppin & The Rev'd Fr. Whitfield Hutcheson. Interment follows in Southern Cemetery, Cowpen & Spikenard Roads.
Left to cherish her memories are her: 1 Daughter: Firstina Rolle Seymour; 2 Granddaughters: MaryLee Seymour and Frystine Seymour; 4 Grandsons: Carlton Francis, Treaves and Troy Symonette, Jevon Brown; 20 great grandchildren: Monique, Troyann, Michella, Nyikia, Ferdnique, Ferdnekia, Troy Jr., Tracy, Katey, Joshua, Tanya, Shenika, Fransika, Nathaniel, Jauanka, Shaniqua, Javonya, Jevon jr., Stanley, Kimberly; 5 great great grandchildren; 1 Sister: Joanna Armbrister; Numerous nieces and nephews including: Gladys Ferguson, Mable Richardson, Blossom and Samuel Cleare, Linda Farrington, Rosemary Archer; Ellamae Francis, Ernestine Miller; Ruth Simmons, Edna and Cynthia Armbrister, Anja Rolle, John Edward, Benjamin, Frank and Dennis Armbrister; Lander McKenzie, Sylvia, Rose and Alfred Smith; Esther Roker, Syria Pratt, Cedric Wilson and Rayford Rolle; Barbara Bethel, Basil Cleare; Susiemae Dorsett, Buelah Hart and Raymond Taylor; Buena Cleare. Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Thursday & on Friday at the church from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
