Funeral service for Jennie Thompson, 83, of Augusta Street South & formerly of Moore's Island, Abaco, will be held at Greater Bethel Cathedral, Faith Way, Baillou Hill Road, on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Bishop Christopher Minnis, assisted by Elder Troy Mott. Interment follows in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, JFK Drive.
Left to cherish her memories are her five (5) children: Lenora Ferguson, Joan Mott Shandel Thompson, Reginald and Kenny Thompson; one (1) brother: Leland Roberts; one (1) Brother-in-law: Harold Thompson, one (1) sister-in-law: Mavis Thompson; two (2) sons-in-law: the Rev. Humphrey Ferguson and Kirkwood Mott; one (1) daughter-n-law: Michelle Thompson; fifteen (15) grandchildren: Sophia Ferguson-Young, Sigrid Ferguson, Tominque Thompson, LaMara Mott, Gigi Thompson, Ebony Thompson-Mercer, Shantina Anderson, Diante Thompson, Navia Thompson, Franklyn and Whitney Ferguson, Kirkwood Jr., Jared and Rashad Mott, Ivory Thompson, Jade Byred; seven (7) great grandchildren: Ashley and Brittany Ferguson, Marecla Williams, Daccai Gray, Renajeshia, Ramaya and Rudy Mercer, Ricardo Byan; seven (7) nephews: Anthony, Eric, Joseph and Godfrey Riley; Abbey and Willie Roberts; six (6) nieces: Cynthia Sargeant, Beverly Maycock, Marnetta Young, Eva Roberts, Irene Fernander, Carolyn Roberts; a host of other relatives including: Annie Knowles and family, Enid Saunders and family, Diana Ward and family, Maude Romer and family, Merlene Swain and Family, Maudrina Lewis and family, Kenneth Ward and Family; Grandson-in-law Rudy Mercer, Tino Anderson, Verleta Knowles and family, Chris Knowles and Family, Charles Knowles and family, Florence Thompson.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
