Funeral Service for the Late Hugo Boswell Powell, 79 years of #55 Meeting Street, will be held on Saturday February 23rd, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, Virginia Street. Fr. Dwight M. Bowe assisted by Fr. Shazzabazzar Turnquest, Canon Warren Rolle and Rev. Fr. Norman Lightbourne will officiate. Cremation will follow.
He is survived by his wife: Doris nee Bethel, who cared for him to the end; daughter: Patricia Fowler; one (1) brother: Noel; two sisters: Lorette Fuller (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Eleanor Powell (Philadelphia, Pa); (predeceased by two brothers, Erle and Wellesley); Grandchildren: Charles, Jr. Paige and Christia Fowler; mother-in-law: Boleyn Bethel; brothers-in-law and their families: John Fuller, Derek Bethel and Dewitt Sands; sisters in law and their families: Joan Powell, Gloria Gibson Valentine, Ann and Carolyn Bethel, Theresa Thompson and Jane Sands; Son-in-Law: Charles Fowler Sr.; Nieces and nephews: Lori Fuller, Ava Saunders (Galen), LaShon Sawyer, Kristie Powell, Katrina Cartwright, Nicole Deveaux (Kendal), Noel Cartwright, Jonathon, Mark and Scott Powell and families, Latoya and Travis Sawyer, Jade and Katya Saunders, Elan Smith, Cassidy, Brianna, Kylie and Arianna Deveaux, Abigail Cartwright, Dwight and Claudell Sands, Shana Bethel, David and Delora Sands, Nick and Burton Thompson, Megan & Tricia Thompson, Christine Burgess, Maria Jones, and many other relatives and friends including: Maguerite Dahl and family, Burke Edgecombe, Dr. Merceline Dahl Regis, Margo Thompson, Melanie Farrington, Creola Taylor and family, Mispah Bosfield, Mary Marshall, Phillipa Mckenzie, Sheila Symonette, Daisy Pinto, Paula Williams, Dorothy and Edward Prosper, The Symonettes, Archers, McKenzies, Emma Cooper and family, Rosalind Bethel, Fr. Friends may pay their last respects at Bethel Brothers Morticians, #34A Nassau Street on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
