Funeral service for Jack William Johnson, 74 yrs., a resident of Palmetto Village & formerly of Smith's Bay, Cat Island, will be held at Mission Through Faith Church of God, Soldier Road East, on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be Bishop Rupert W. Johnson, assisted by Rev. Carroll Johnson. Interment follows in Southern Cemetery, Cowpen & Spikenard Roads.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his wife: Evangelist Alice Johnson; 1 son: Anthony Johnson; 4 daughters: Dianne Jones, Katherine Johnson, Laqueta Rolle & Natasha Johnson; 15 grandchildren: William, Anthony Jr., Patrick, Keith Jr., Stephano & Kevin; Samatha Nicole, Lashan, Ashley, Gabrielle, Latasha, Latita & Brittany; 6 gerat grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Osborne, Ethan, Travanti, Ashanti & Shaniya; 6 brothers: Bishop Rupert Johnson, Harold Johnson, Oasborne Johnson, Houston Johnson, Emerson Johnson, Reverend Carroll Johnson; 1 grand aunt: Thelma Symonette; 6 brothers-in-law: Kenneth Smith, Calvin Davis, Reverend Orthnel Smith, Howard Smith & Jeffery Smith; 7 sisters-in-law: Reverend Rowena Smith, Carriemae Simms, Jennifer Ellis J.P., Valerie Lockhart, Elder Amanda Johnson, Christine Johnson, Sabrina Johnson; 4 sons-in-law: Neville Jones, Phillip Rolle, Keith Brown & Lamond Moxey; numerous nephews & nieces & a host of family including: Captian George Brown, Carmen Gaitor & family, the Simmons family including Dr. H. A. Simmons & Reverend Daniel Simmons, the Nixon family, the Smith family, the Johnson family, the Jones family, the Hart family including Reverend Edna Hart, Bishop Gladstone & Reverend Janet Butler, the Smith family, the family at C & S Steel & the Palmetto Village family.
Friends may pay their last respects at Demeritte's Funeral Home, Market Street, from 10-6:00 p.m. on Saturday & on Sunday at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
