Funeral Service for Clara “Ms. Shirley” Johnson, age 73 of Bahama Avenue and formerly of Montego Bay, Jamaica who died on September 28th 2013 will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Community Holiness Church, Bahama Avenue. Officiating will be Rev. Gladstone Patton. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Cowpen & Spikenard Roads.
Ms. Johnson was survived by her 3 sons: Charlie Bailey, Andrew Bailey and Elky Flowers; 1 daughter: Jennifer Bailey-Nesbitt; 2 sisters: Ruth Anglin and Zal Anglin; 1 son-in-law: Charles Nesbitt; 1 daughter-in-law: Daphne Bailey; 14 grandchildren: Denise Bailey, Susan Bailey, Camara Bailey, Edward Flowers, Elton Flowers, Perez Rolle, Zequan Bailey, Andrew Bailey Jr., Omar Bailey, Jabbari Bailey, Chevaun Bailey, Cheryl Nesbitt Mcleish, Michael Nesbitt, Antonio Nesbitt and Terryl Nesbitt; 7 Great Grandchildren: Sean Mcleish Jr., Michaela Nesbitt, Perika Wallace, Joshua Bailey, Sarah Spence and Peyton Bailey; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives & friends.
Friends may pay their last respects at East Sunrise Mortuary, Rosetta Street, Palmdale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and at the Church from 10 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
