Funeral service for Rev'd Dr. Garnet King, 86 yrs., a resident of #15 Sea Breeze Grove & formerly of Knowles, Cat Island, will be held at Transfiguration Baptist Church, Market & Vesey Streets, on Saturday 20th December, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev'd Dr. Stephen E. Thompson, assisted by Rev'd Brazil McDonald, Rev'd Basil Johnson, Rev'd Sherma Bowe & other Ministers of Religion. Interment follows in Western Cemetery, Nassau Street.
Rev’d Dr. King is survived by his wife Leathica, his children and their spouses and grandchildren. Adopted daughters, Lillymae Johnson and her children Lakeisha and Lamar, and Elsiemae Johnson; Adopted sons, Alphonso ‘Chuck” Harris and his wife Verlene and their children Jacqual and Ellen and Rev. Donnie Newbold and his family.
His brothers and sisters & their spouses include: Osborne (deceased) & Clara King, Husen & Deborah King, Paul & Gwen King, Harold King (deceased), Alice Moncur, Firstina Hepburn, Ruth Outten and Isadora Bethel.

Friends may pay their last respects at the New Baptist Convention Centre, Jean Street, from 10-4:00 p.m. on Friday & on Saturday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
